Yes, there is a limited obligation for the buyer to act in good faith and make reasonable attempts to actually obtain finance. But it doesn't mean you have to accept finance at absorbinant rates, or go to any extra effort to get finance. Milford has exercised his right. End of story. If it goes to Court, Canberra will lose. It will be messy and a terrible look for the Raiders, but they're used to that. Barba doesn't have that clause in his contract. He's seeking a termination by agreement of his contract so he can move to be with his family. Bulldogs want him to continue on. The only thing stopping him from moving on is the NRL using its big arbitrary wand to say whether or not it would register his contract with the Broncos next year.
