I disagree. No one will "go next" as you say as although they are Queenslanders, they already ahve their families in Canberra. I believe it is purely out of spite they are claiming they will hold on to Milford, but to be fair, many teams would. It is not a blight on our club, it is a blight on the NRL's poor recruitment policy and system that gives / allows managers to control deals and essentially create animosity between both partners through unscrupulous media campaigns. I do not blame the Bronco's for wanting him, I do not blame the Raiders for wanting him to keep him, I just want it sorted for next year and beyond asap. So far we have confirmation for 15/16. But in all honesty, I don't think the Raiders have even spoken to him since his return from the UK and I don't see him being in Canberra round one. I believe the Raiders are playing the game because of the resentment created throughout the process. Yes it is business, but passion is personal. You don't have a position in any club unless you have passion so that happens to play a part of any process unfortunately and this is what I see the reason lies why the Raiders are holding strong. Once Anthony returns, it is only a CM/DT emotional campaign of a club keeping a player away from his dying father be it true or not from your 15/16 signing being at pre season training. Let's hope it happens, but not in a disgraceful manner. Just like you want him, the Raiders did/do too. You must see this as a reason for animosity. I want him to be relaeased as I said, but I do not want a negative smear campaign using emotional reasons to try and make it happen against the club I love. I just hope they come to their senses and move forward and look to the future post Milford now. I can see no positivity coming from his presence at the club for the next 12 months.
