Add into this, taking him out of that environment, and away from the other component parts of the formula, ie, Cronk and Slater, will he still be able to function at the same level? I would have some concerns about both of these issues. I do believe he would improve the team, albeit for a relatively short time. If he became the focus of the attack and structure, that would leave us in 2-3 years in exactly the same position again as we are now post Lockyer (unless the Club's succession planning is better second time around).
