Re: Triple M News: Smith to stay at Melbourne, Parker/Hodges retention negotiations b Granted Isaac Luke is great talent but he will never leave Sydney and I don't want him to. He isn't what we look for in a player hes a grub and as skillful as he is he ruins monetum constantly for south sydeny by knocking on at dummy half or the forward passes he throws nearly every game, he gets the fundamentals wrong alot and he is no better of a defender than macca. We are a team that chases queensland talent mostly, to spend big bucks on a kiwi from nsw does not suit us especially when there talented hookers up and coming in the junior grades not to mention the likes of jake friend who is a great player, some say thats because of the roosters success but he was clever before then, watch the 2012 highlights of the broncos vs roosters gaem in sydney he was in everything. and Macca is not the worse hooker out there, very predictable and fitness needs to be worked on but the only hooker they have chased since macca began as our first choice is the best hooker in the world, if not history, and Smith just brings more than the game with him thats why he is worth so much. I hope he returns to his dummy passing, 40/20 kicking, cheeky grubbering best. I really think Macca taking on the line more wasn't because of poor judgement but becasue there was no real option to pass to, we were in shambles in attack line ups last year
