Combined with atrocious form of playmakers and captain, an injury riddled season with players carrying niggles and the young inexperienced squad, it wreaked havoc with the players heads. It's fine to be a traditionalist or put Qld ahead of the Broncos, as that's everyone's choice, but blatantly denying it has a big impact on the Broncos is like trying to cover the sun with a sieve.
