The rest of them have beaten us easily. The key concern for me is that we lack the belief to 'compete'. Looking closely at this year's games and with a few exceptions we played our best football when the result was decided. A classic example was the Storm game. We played busted and gave them a big lead at the break. We came out and blitzed them with three quick tries and got our noses in front. . . then reverted back to the same rubbish. Similar stories, though not as exciting, against the Raiders, Warriors, Bulldogs etc. We put on our best attacking plays when the game is pretty much over. Mentally we are not in the contest against most teams. I don't know what the answer is to solve it. . . I don't know how much good it will be if we scrape into the eight only to be obliterated by the top sides. We are a side with confidence problems, that might not help the situation. despite this, I hope we genuinely find some form and if we do scrape into the eight, we can make a serious dent. [/QUOTE]
