Personally I think it's time to drop the whole Hunt vs Milford thing much of it was built on emotion(and some resentment for the GF mistake)and I happily admit I've been guilty of it myself. Rightly or wrongly both deserved criticism and while I tend to agree Hunt deserved more then Milford in general it was somewhat disappointing to the level it got thrown at Hunt. It's time to deal with the here and now. Hunt's departure is locked in and there is no changing that regardless of if that's something you wanted or not ad the sad thing of wanting is often you should be careful of what you wish for, you may just get it. the Broncos are now stuck in the position of finding a replacement in a real pickle of a position and I'll agree with the sentiment whoever it is needs to bring us a superior kicking game and playmaking game then either of Milford or Hunt can presently or perhaps ever provide. Despite my criticism of Milford's start to the season, I do want him to get back to playing his best just as much as I want Hunt to finish his time at the Broncos in a top fashion rather then a forgettable disappointing exit. I'm not sure what the exact issue is for Milford atm, it could be his weight, perhaps off the field personal issues(not suggesting bad behavior), lacks confidence or perhaps even disinterested. If I was Bennett I'd pull him aside, find out where he is at mentally and tell him to take a step back and focus on the little things, get your confidence up and it will eventually come. We need to deal with this now, because when it comes to re-sign him, the expectations will only grow, especially with the expected deal. Who do we target? I personally don't know, what I do know if it means we have to take a hit for next season to get it right, then do so, don't go to the market for the sake of it, get it right the first time.
