I just rewatches the last 30 minutes of the roosters game. One Hunt had come off. He put in 5 kicks in that time (Kniko had a couple). 3 of them resulted in drop outs - 2 nice guebbers and one was a chip that forced SKD to catch it running backwards towards their ingoal. If it wasn't an accident, it was a perfect kick. 1 was a Hunt/Milf special, driving a low kick straight into the legs of a defender, not played at. Found touch 10 m behind him, in the middle of the field. Absolute shocker. 1 was a nice medium/long kick that found grass between the fullback and winger. Took Gordon a while to get to it. A great kick. He also threw a nice floating cut out to Moga that put him in the position to set up the Mead try, and was heavily involved in the set up for Roberts try. On top of that he had a couple of good runs, and gave Moga one or two balls with a bit of space to work with. All very good signs. He seems to back himself more when Hunt isn't there to carry the weight. To me it seems more like a confidence thing than an attitude problem. He could have gotten more involved but our forwards were doing a good job of passing between themselves and playing first recover roles. All very good signs and I think Hunt's injury may just be a blessing in disguise for Milf as we may see him assert himself more on the team. The other thing I noticed is that he is struggling a little with being a support player because he seems to be overly concerned about getting ready for the next play. But I think once controlling the team becomes more 2nd nature to him he will be able to see the moments where you should push through for an offload.
