The players have a shit attitude, they will be resistant to much of what Anderson wants to achieve, and so 2009 will be a write off for them. He'll need to make tough decisions (and he already has with Finch) and smart recruiting and start building towards 2010. That's not to say the Eels will always be easybeats. It won't surprise in the least if they give the Broncos a massive run for their money this Friday. They're still capable of turning on a good performance. But I hope Newcastle 2007 and Parramatta 2009 shows all and sundry that if Michael Hagan comes knocking on your door to coach your club, put the double latch lock on.
