Games are broken up with add breaks with groups of men having a great time together with beers in their hands. Their favourite players have beer brands plastered on them. Any kid who loves footy grows up with it being strongly intertwined with drinking. I definitely am one to over indulge so I’m not being a prude. We just can’t pretend that it isn’t having a strong impact on perpetuating Australia’s drinking culture. Look at Ronaldo who made them remove the coke bottles from his press conference and told kids to drink water. That’s a real role model. Surely the health and fitness industry is big enough to take over sponsorships if alcohol advertisement gets pulled. I’m definitely more concerned about the gambling than the grog though. [/QUOTE]
