It is evident that now, more then any other time in the Brisbane Broncos NRL existence we need a genuine leader. The decision makers ie White and Seibold need to go to market and recruit someone of experience that still has 2-3yrs left in their NRL career. Someone of the ilk of Maloney. Not one "experienced" player that we let go of this year would have changed anything that happened last night - so to say that we have done this to ourself in letting the players go that we have this year just isn't right. We need a Cameron Smith, a Mitch Pearce, a James Maloney, a Boyd Cordner figure at this club - to the point I would even be offering one of our young guns in return + playing them overs. This club is an array of embarrassment at the moment. We have the biggest following, the biggest junior nursery and the most money of any NRL team, yet we looks totally incompetent and are the laughing stock of the NRL. I think the club also needs to go hard and hire some well respected and proven recruitment officers. We cannot allow the likes of another Smith or Munster slip through the cracks, when they were originally in our own backyard. It's also an interesting time as White is off contract at years end - I wouldn't be jumping to re-sign him. Sure he brings in the sponsors, but how long will sponsors put up with no success, that or they will not be willing to chip is as much $ as they currently do. This club has deeper issues then the coach and the playing group. Top down needs a good hard look.
