It is understood Te’o was not at the Ashgrove townhouse when the incident occurred. Police said initial investigations indicated two men entered the home, on Stewart Rd, about 8.30pm and allegedly assaulted the man, a 30 year old. Today, a trail of blood could be seen on the driveway. Sources said the man, believed to be Te’o’s roommate, was injured when he opened the door to find two men, one of whom punched him in the face. It is believed the men were all known to each other. A security guard outside the home last night said the residents had no comment. One of the men is described as islander in appearance, in his early 20s, about 160cm tall and with a solid build and dark hair. He was wearing a long-sleeved, dark shirt and shorts. The other attacker is also described as islander in appearance and in his early 20s, about 175cm tall with a proportionate build, olive complexion and short, dark hair. He was wearing a maroon singlet and shorts. The pair was last seen heading along Stewart Rd towards Waterworks Rd. A woman who lives in the complex, but who wasn’t home at the time of the assault last night, said Te’o was a good neighbour. [/QUOTE]
