We're officially under 24 hours away from the biggest game of the Broncos season. To say it's a big game is an understatement. This game is colossal, and could very well make or break careers. Going in, you could be excused for thinking the Broncos have no chance. If you follow any of the media programs, unless the staff involved are in some part affiliated with the Broncos, it's Roosters by how many. They're too strong out-wide, too gritty in the middle and the halves pairing know how to build pressure. Where have I read all this before? These are the type of games the Broncos are about. From day one, the Broncos were never afraid to back down from a challenge and made a habit of defying expectations. In 1988, a glorified BRL side couldn't beat the best team in the NSWRL. 44-10, see you later, thank you very much. In 1993, no team had ever won from 5th. 4 victories later, and it was Kevie Walters with his arm around Tina Turner, not Brad Mackay who had to settle for a medal instead. In 2006, the Broncos were too old, too out of touch with modern mobile Rugby League and couldn't compete with the Melbourne Storm juggernaut, yet 15-8, Webby was there helping Locky lift up the trophy. These are the moments the club is built on and the closer we get to the Prelim Final, the more confident I grow we can add another moment to the greatest hits. Don't get me wrong here. Sydney are the team to beat and based on everything we've seen, deserve to head in as favourites. However, there is something special about this Broncos side. This isn't the side that blown off the park by Manly inside 20 minutes, this side has too much resolve and will stick into the contest until the final minutes. It's in those minutes I believe they'll get the Roosters. Strap yourselves in and take in every moment, this is a game we're going to be talking about for years.
