I thought the middles were outstanding for the Broncos. The Warriors absolutely bullied the Knights the week before but they just couldn't handle the onslaught. Haas, Carrigan and Flegler all played like they were possessed and Billy capitilised on it and had his best ever game of football. Along with the work of Herbie who got through the work of two men, it just laid the platform for Walsh to weave his magic and he is just a sensation. He's put himself right up there with the O'Neils, the Lockyers, the Hodges' and he isn't afraid of the big play. It was an all-round good team effort, but it was those men who set the stage and gave Kevie the opportunity to take Reynolds off with 20 to go. As impressive as they were, there were a couple of moments through out the game that put me on edge. I hope Cobbo has his head screwed on, because that chase on CNK was extremely costly, especially when he had an opportunity to get there and possibly open the scoring. That passage where the Broncos went from 24-8, to 24-12 was really disappointing. They were well on top at that point, all they had to do was kick into a corner, bash the Warriors and pick up the pieces the next set. That fifth try was really difficult to get and it was a massive shame that the try came off a blatant forward pass. I don't think it decided the game, I'm just worried it's given the team a short-cut when they really ought to knuckle down and play smarter. Still, there's plenty of ways to skin the cat and this is a team that typically plays to the level of their opposition. They're high on confidence, they've given themselves every chance and they put on a great show infront of a record crowd. It's a great time to be a Broncos fan and hopefully we look back on it as fondly as we did in 2006.
