I get a feeling they're going to go the loyalty path. While I agree it's good for that to work they need to pick the right team to start with. To start the best fullback needs to play........ surprisingly fullback. I don't like Hayne but on his day he's a machine and even when he's average he's still better then Gidley, he has that magic in him which only few players have, Gidley doesn't. The 5/8 should not be a makeshift 5/8, perhaps chuck Gidley there seeing as he's "captain(lol)" and they can't drop him but really Gidley should stick to club level Perry is an average first grader he should hardly be in origin, surely Bailey is a better option?. Farah shouldn't of been dropped, I know he fucked up in game 2 (but so has Gidley last game, do they drop him?) but IMO, long term he could become outstanding in origin, it's not easy to adapt. How long did it take to Smith to become as good as he is in origin, he has played something like 20 straight origins before game 1(since 2003 game 3) which is 7 years straight. Ennis is a great player but he is a what you see is what you get player, you know what to expect. Which is mongrel, good defence, a rolling forward pack, the 1-2 times a game brain explosion and a shit kicking game. Ennis is good but on raw ability Farah is so far ahead of him, watch game 1 and you will see 2-3 times he created opportunities , better defence, great kicking game, can pull out awesome plays, creative and on his day is one of the better players in the competition IMO, he's just about the complete player. Perhaps Ennis is there because of his Kimmorley combination which worked great at the Bulldogs last year but this year it has sucked and they carried that straight through to origin, the Blues attack was flat like the Bulldogs this whole year. For example Farah put Hayne through for that no try (Hayne's foot touched the sideline) but it was good vision and skill from Farah to put Hayne through. His kicking game was great, a few cm's from a 40/20, a few drop outs and I just watched the first half and his kicking game was pretty good throughout and set up Hayne for a try at 67 minute mark. IMO Farah really deserves a chance in the origin arena again, he played like crap in the second game but in the first game he showed glimpses of what he can do and Ennis while he has been solid the entire way and both games he has played in origin and he certainly doesn't let anyone down but he doesn't offer those glimpses of brilliance that Farah has and IMO if NSW are any chance of beating QLD they need that. The best of both worlds would be Ennis starting each half with Farah finishing both halves. TL:DR Drop Gidley or make him 5/8(most likely) Farah in as utility/sub hooker Lyon to centre instead of Cooper Drop Idris(Farah takes bench spot instead) Drop Perry for Bailey or some other prop, anyone is better Pearce in for Kimmorley, and... Gallen needs to be in the squad somewhere.
