Rock legend Slash hopes he isn't invited to Russell Crowe's private box ? For Modern Football - For Modern Football

Legendary rock star Slash said today that he was secretly hoping Souths owner Russell Crowe wouldn’t invite him to his private box during the NRL grand final.
The former Guns N’ Roses guitarist, who will be performing as part of the game day entertainment this Sunday evening, said he planned to leave the stadium, and Sydney, shortly after his musical commitments were over. Crowe is famous for inviting his celebrity friends, including Tom Cruise and Oprah Winfrey, to join him during games featuring his beloved South Sydney, but Slash said he hoped he won’t be joining him.
“I’ve told my manager to make sure Russell Crowe is nowhere near me on Sunday,” he said. “I’m sure he’s a lovely guy, but I’ve heard nothing but bad things from people who were unfortunate enough to sit with him during a Rabbitohs game.
“Russell has recruited a lot of famous people to the Souths cause, but I don’t want to be one of them. Nobody looks good in Souths gear, and that includes clothing which isn’t in that hideous combination of red and green.
“I’ve seen some crazy things in my almost thirty years in the music industry, but I can tell you that nobody wants to look like a homeless Freddy Krueger.”
Slash is one of only a handful of celebrities who are yet to be invited into the Souths fold, with Todd Bridges from classic sitcom ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ and Alan White of progressive rock legends Yes among the few to be overlooked by Crowe.

Seems more articulate then I'd imagined. Ordinary guitar player though.
