In the end it wasn't the most convincing win for Cronulla but when the game was in the balance they produced some wonderful attack to ice it. That set play for the Kennedy try was executed to perfection and was fantastic to see. St George can feel a little hard done by on the Cody Ramsey no try. So often those are ruled a loose carry and allowed to play on but no such luck tonight. Unfortunately for them, it proved to be a 12 point swing against them. That was a tough call but they'll also rue their handling deep inside their own half when it was a two point ball game. Paul Vaughan had a tremendous game but he came up with a costly error right as the Dragons were getting over the top of the Sharks. For Cronulla I thought towards the end of the game Chad Townsend came up with some great touches. It was his play down the short side and the mid-field bomb that led to the Mulitalo try that was pivotal and he got the Sharks across the field nicely. I thought the Cronulla pack physically got over the top of their opposition with Rudolf and Tolman in particular having strong games. Ultimately Cronulla walk away with the two points after another clinical performance. They may not have as high a ceiling as other teams in the competition but they'll rarely give you an easy game. St George will welcome back Corey Norman but it's going to be a long season ahead for them. A couple of players can hold their heads up high but otherwise it appears they'll have a long season ahead of them.
