He was queried on a few re-signings, but from my understanding, Bennett was involved in those decisions as well. What it all boils down to is a lack of communication. I believe initially the club was comfortable to go with the 2020 start date, then Bennett signed with Souths and that's when the pendulum swung. The situation dragged out, everyone was just waiting around for the penny to drop and once Bennett called that presser it was the final straw.
