[QUOTE="Number6, post: 2944660, member: 9008"] These are professional players. If they need a one legged man to prevent them falling apart in defence then it is sh*t coaching and culture. He is costing 1-2 tries at moment if thats the standard it’s not good enough. A good fullback should be worth saving a try a game not there to prevent complete defensive collapse. If your argument is true then coach needs to go for Bellamy at end of the year and proper defensive structures taught next off season. If it’s wrong then why are we playing someone not fit for half a season and coach needs to explain to the board. Name one other team that would play Boyd half a season like this, waste Milfs talents or persist with KNik with no backup plan? The story so far hasn’t been bad luck or injuries it’s been terrible team management and tactics. He’s been saved by luck and good man management with young forwards standing up. If he wins a premiership this year happy to admit WB is greatest league genius of all time and not question again but if doesn’t he has backed himself into a corner he deserves to answer for. I think if Bellamy genuinely on table then WB best position moving forward next year since still on contact would be player and welfare manager type role or maybe as director of football (but not a coaching role). He can still have relationships with the boys, set club standards and participate in recruitment but nowhere near tactics, team selections or final retention decisions where he has struggled. He can also help manage the transition better than last time. If he wakes up and agrees to slow down in a job that suits his skills and could do for next 10-15 years great. If he wants to be a head coach somewhere else he can leave (if that is prior to contract expires with breach no golden handshake given how badly he screwed us last time with his ‘successors’ and he has given plenty the push in his life many stayed loyal to the club so when it’s his time if won’t stay loyal then that’s on him).
