It wasn’t doomsday. In my books it was a better performance than Titans and Knights before that in my opinion. 4 important players out, middle of origin, Carrigan playing in an in-effective position and Derby game so 5 tries to 3 when the opposition played fairly decently I’m not all to concerned. I really think the main issue in that game was Tyson Smoothy, he came up with some horrific errors in quick succession and we spent the first 25 minutes of the second half with limited ball and no field position. We still have heaps of improvement which is great but you know we are getting to a stage in the season where it could be all too late. I think only Carrigan and Haas will play game 3 (Cobbo deserves it but Slater does like to stick) so origin shouldn’t effect us to much more. I don’t think we played as if we were too good to put in effort and when it came time to get back in the game they made sure they kept possession and work through them. Still need a full 80 but it’s a good start after the shit we chucked up last week.
