Souths can't be trusted with anything. A loss there would have put a nice dent in Sydney's 2017 ambitions, now they've got the huge Origin morale booster heading into a bye and should come into the finals even stronger than before. Souths still think their 'power' style can win them football games when they don't have Greg Inglis in their side and their forwards make so many dumb errors. I lost track of the amount of times Farah would play short to Clark. What was he thinking there? Where was Sutton or Reynolds around the ruck? The problem with Souths is that everything they do is so rehearsed. It's like they go into the red-zone with the same intensity as a training session and sure enough it seldom works out. When they do find success it's usually off the back of Reynolds' kicking game or sheer weight of possession. The tragedy is tonight they showed they have some talented players like Crichton and Walker who can blow a game open but they're so pigeon holed in their roles that they rarely get a chance to shine. Crichton basically has to stay on his fringe and may only touch the ball when Reynolds (who can't ball-play) gives him the ball and similarly Walker only comes into it when Sutton decides to give him the ball, nevermind Sutton should be in the ESL right now stinking it up for Warrington. Sydney weren't great, but they're a Top 4 club and they showed the difference between the two mentalities. Friend continues to put his hand up as Smith's heir apparent and JWH owned Burgess.
