Thoughts... You'd have to think the Warriors, in the form they're in, should account for a Tigers side that is absolutely reeling in the wake of their star player's decision to negotiate a release. I can't remember an instance where this has galvanised a club and I don't believe we'll witness history on Friday. Warriors in a sluggish match but one where they should find plenty of holes in the Tigers wayward defence. Canberra at home, against Parramatta. Need I say more? Cronulla vs. Sydney resembles a NSW A vs. NSW B match-up with the likes of Maloney, Pearce, Cordner etc. taking on Carney, Fifita & Lewis. I don't think the Sharks have enough points in them to crack the Roosters and while the parametres of the match may change after Origin I believe they're in too hot a form to go down here. Roosters to cement themselves as a Top 3 team. These two produced one of the worst games of the season earlier but a few months on they may put on one of the better matches of the season - I'm of course talking about the Panthers vs. Knights. Both are in about as good a form as the other but I'll take the Knights on the basis that the Panthers lost Plum who's been one of the most underrated players of the season and Robinson to a broken neck. The latter might not be the most talented, but I think such a setback may have a negative influence on his team mates. Meanwhile, Newcastle welcome back Beau Scott and he may add the starch their forward pack is missing. Knights in a reasonably close game. Titans seem to be on the decline and I believe that will continue as they come up against a classy Manly outfit. Sadly, the GC have suffered too many key injuries and they look very bare bones in the backs and partially in the forwards without their Origin troops. St. George welcome back a host of key talent but I don't believe it will be enough to prevail against their pre-season rivals unless Origin has an impact on the Rabbits who should continue their dominance on the top of the table.
