Sailor was great. Tremendous back up only thing with him I don’t know about is why the **** would you re-sign with us to be back up? Staggs was rocks and diamonds and Herbie was quiet although I found myself raging at him only the once with the kick which is an improvement on both weeks. Arthars was solid as usual, Mariner I thought was excellent. Arthars can be first choice back up for the remainder of the year as he has earned through his consistent quality performances but Mariner surely gets first crack next year at wherever Selwyn is not. Selwyn was great on the sting and held his own in the middle. Whilst I don’t want that to become a common tactic it’s not bad to have the versatility and it will do wonders for his discipline, fitness and tackling ability. Mam was clearly hampered by an injury but if anybody on here seriously doesn’t think that Walsh unlocks him they are kidding himself. He will be as good as new next week when Walshy takes some of the attention off him and links with him effectively. Reyno has struggled in patches without Walsh and he is one of the best players in the comp. Mam is in his first full year and is still learning, still did some great stuff, he will be just fine. Reyno - Excellent Palasia and Jensen just show up time and time again when they are needed to put in bigger shifts and start the game. Well done. Piakura was excellent. Hate to say I told you all but… Capewell. He did his job, I am very of the opinion you need blokes like Capes to just get the job done and whilst at this rate I’d have him on the bench as a middle/back up second rower next year and maybe even this year he is still a valued member of the side. Hetho did well. Reliable as usual. Has some outstanding runs off the back of quick ptb’s. Smoothy did alright but when Paix has recovered he needs to come back. Tyson doesn’t do much for me. Marty probably impressed me more this game than any other. Did well Willison had a cracking stint it which he was the dominant presence in the middle 3rd of the field. That’s his best game at first grade and if he plays like that with the rest of his opportunities a bench spot might be in order for him. Edit: Oh and Billy. Did well, fought hard, undoubtedly our best hooker and undoubtedly climbing the ranks of hookers in the comp.
