[QUOTE="Dazza 92, post: 3059173, member: 8727"] what did we learn here; 1. You cannot turn up to a NRL game with a passenger; seriously we play with 12 every time we run onto the turf. If you felt as coach that your team is best served by moving your 5/8th to fullback then thats your prerogative....instead the real problem has simply been moved onto another square of the chessboard....I hate myself for this; we NEED to miss the finals so the club has the leverage to **** some of these uselesss ***** off... 2. We have some senior players here....where were they last night? Does anyone seriously believe we'd make a game of this if only Gillett was available? Paul White as CEO needs to make the tough decisions....thats why you're on the big money Paul...even if it means yet another year in the wilderness nexts season.....find a way to move on from Boyd, Macca, Gillet & Glenn.....I accept it ***** our salary cap but give the coach a fighting chance to not have to consider how to fit pieces that aren't helping and are actually worse than the so-called guys how are a tier below them... 3. Siebs was always gunna have some tough decisions to make in year 1. The easiest of the lot was to decide who out of the young forwards would start, who would back them up from the bench and how are the minutes distributed. I reckon he is getting close to nailing that now. Did he know before he came on board that the club was over the salary cap? Regardless, as players had to be moved on, and we can debate all day if the right ones were let go but the facts remain. I don't put this on the coach. 4. Looking at what Canberra have recruited from English Super league; why aren't we investigating the same comp for the players we need? Is there a first grade standard half/5/8th playing there who would like a crack at NRL? Is there a Kevin campion style player who accepts no shortcuts from anyone and holds everyone accountable to the same standards? If so bring them in FFS... 5. We need to look facts in the face; while ever we have the useless shit on our roster (you all know who they are) this so called rebuild job is at best 50% done. And right now thats the best its gunna be....and this could go on like this for the next 5 years of Siebs contract. Tough unpopular and painful decisions need to be made now. Standards are not being met and they cannot if we believe we can play NRL games carrying people who contribute very little. As previously stated, the painful bit will be the damage to our salary cap going forward, and yet no-one can complain we didnt bring all this upon ourselves... Over to you Brisbane Broncos...
