Player wrap up from tonight. 1) Hoffman, was good again tonight. He made several incisive runs and was a touch unlucky to have the ball stripped from him early on. Again he made no errors at the back and is playing in a much more suited position. Wing or full back is definitely his go... 2) Vidot, strong yards and carries from his own half again, but we need more from him than just that. He needs to develop his game now to the next level. Line breaks, and points/try's are needed form wingers in first grade these days. 3) Copley, He was a standout again, admittedly he made a few errors but he was hardly to blame as the rubbish ball he was getting doesn't help his cause. He need more quality ball and not just throw it to him and hope he pulls a miracle out. 4) Hodges, limited minutes through injury so no comments. 5) Reed, lacks class and skill but has a crack. Still not sure why he replaced Kahu though... Reed must be the slowest winger since daryl halligan. 6) Barba, dear oh dear..... His defense was woeful, he runs backward and away form the oncoming attacking play. i bet copley was relieved when he switched sides and didnt have to tackle for barba as well.... I will admit he thew a nice ball near the eagles line but other than that his touches were very very ordinary... The ball he threw into the tenth row of the hill was something out of a benny hill show. 7) Hunt, this confuses me here. he just looks like he has lost all confidence and somehting is on his mind. Not sure what is happening with him at the moment. 8) Moose, well he is really turning into the heart and soul of the club. Every week is the same with him no matter what, he runs bloody hard and tackles all day. His form is really good but is lacing real suport at the moment. The club need to keep him and cant afford to lose a player like him. 9) Macca, he tackles and tries hard but he offered nothing out of dummy half. His passing game is slow and he doesnt get the team rolling with quick movement out of dummy half. Kicking early in the tackle count into the wind was an odd choice too... 10)Parker, playing out of position again tonight. He was a bit off his game but you now he doesn't give up... Hopefully he can go back to 13 next week. 11) Glenn, Well, not much to say either way, steady without really doing anything to much. 12) Gillett, ever since the origin series he has looked alt and I think he must be still carrying an injury. He looks tired and slow at the moment, if he was a racehorse he would be having a spell right now. 13) Thaiday, Needs to be moved back to his preferred edge on a permanent basis where he can target the smaller players and get a quick play the ball. Also give hunt something decent to pass too in attack. His half time interview was interesting too, i know he has always had a weird body shape, but it looked as though he has been filling up on the colonel during the week... Bench, Lowrie has limited ability but is whole hearted, cant be grudge his commitment when he is on the filed. Hannant was good off the bench again tonight which makes me wonder why he isnt starting in the run on with moose in the front row??? Granville, limited minutes again, question needs to be asked why play a sub hooker for 5 minutes ad use one of your bench spots up. Oates, I have a huge wrap on him but playing on the wing to fill a gap was no fault of his. I still think he would have been better used elsewhere and leave reed on the wing and roll glenn into the centres. Oates is not being developed to hispotential at the moment.
