If the independent and team doctors cleared him. However do you believe Shib should have been on for Oates at that point onwards. Another question worth considering is that if a player is forced to retire the rest of the game due to foul play (malicious intent or not I'll hear your opinions) shouldn't it be that not only the offending player sent off but the affected team being able to call on there reserve bench to cover that player that was forced to retire due to foul play.
