I love the way Flegler plays - heart, passion, fire, aggression, looking to destroy the opposition. Very Radley-Esque. Unfortunately now both of them are completely useless and total liabilities in today’s version of the game. Such a shame, but Flegler is going to need to cut that side of his game out completely if he wants to survive. 10 years ago he would have been such a punishing enforcer who was a joy to watch. Flegler’s sin bin was absolute rubbish (same as Piakura’s and same as Turpin’s ‘crusher’)… how many times can we say the same thing week after week. Hitting a player hard is now a binnable offence. (When the refs feel like it). As much as I hate the chooks, I loved that Robinson came out and gave them a well deserved spray.. although unfortunately the only change likely to come is that anyone who makes ANY forceful contact with a roosters player the entire finals series will get binned. Haas again immense and Cobbo had a nice game… seems to be gaining confidence and at this rate I think it’s better for the team to be developing him at 1 from next year. We need a gun fullback and there’s none available .. if we believe this kid is the goods then let’s get him in there. Milford showed some real effort tonight which absolutely floored me… chasing his kicks, wanting his hands on the ball and at one point even running across to bundle a player into touch in defence. If he keeps that up next year he might actually do some good for South’s. Shame he couldn’t do it here. On a side note, we finally saw Farnworth throw a pass tonight and instantly found out why he pregers
