I’d say Herbie did the right thing by going conservative however the fact it was the last tackle means he probably should’ve just handed it off to Oates and hope for the best. Corey may have stepped back in and cut between the defenders or he may have been bundled into touch. Hard to say. Herbie should’ve passed but it isn’t as straight forward as you’re saying.
