Not only was the hit on Walsh reckless and careless it was designed to put a 'hit' on him, and he never even got binned! I'm not sure the riff dog intended it to have such a great outcome for his team but I'd be willing to bet he was congratulated by all and sundry in the riff sheds after the game. The biggest let down for me though was not the scoreline, it was the fact I got denied to see the best player in the league run around for 80 minutes doing his 'thing'. Reece is without a doubt the biggest draw card in our game at present and to be denied his presence on the field for the whole night felt like I had been mugged - my wallet and phone were robbed but I was left with my bus-pass to get me home. As many have said - if that was Cleary getting taken out by a Bronco there would be mass hysteria in Sydney. The sheer narrow mindedness of our southern cousins as to the damage this sort of shit does to the game as a whole is quite staggering. To have the mindset that 'it's only a Bronco player' is cutting your nose off to spite your face. TV viewers who tuned in from all over the country to watch our beautiful game were denied one of the major highlights of the night and two fifths of **** all was said and done about the whole incident. I've never seen Kevvie so full of rage and disappointment at a presser. It was fairly obvious he was fuming with the incident, but true to type he managed to remain tight lipped about it all. Why our forwards never went in and smashed the living **** out of this cheap dog shot merchant is beyond me. Stuff the MRC. Our so called 'enforcers' need to make it known to all clubs that if you dog shot one of our players you will pay the consequences. Someone has to make a stand for our team or this shit will continue. Arthurs brushing off golden boots Cleary to score for us did bring a smile to my sour old coupon though.
