Can't be happy with that effort. We started well, dominated a weakened team, scored 3 tries, and... Went to fucking sleep, probably because the players went in their heads: "We got this".:ranting: We have to be ruthless and just put teams in these circumstances to the sword! Our mentality must be that "the more sorry they are, the more we smash them". I'm not too worried about the souffs game, because I'm pretty sure we'll turn up ready to play. It's in games like this where we're soft in the head or belly, whatever you wanna call it, that we have to be mentally prepared. Everyone in the team needs to look at Hodges and Hoffman. Regardless of the scoreboard, they will keep competing at the same level to the end. Glad to see we can attack on both sides, as it was clear to me that the Tigers were ready for our left hand sweep play. Prince went up a gear and directed us superbly in that first half, taking advantage of both our right side weapons in Gillett and the magnificent Hodges. Wallace kicked well for most part, was direct at the line, but didn't see much of the ball, as our game plan was clearly directed at attacking the weakness in the Tigers left side defense. Defensively we were strong as usual, albeit undisciplined. It doesn't help that the pea in the refs whistles doesn't get a rest, and that Farah cheating whiner is on the other side. Not only does he cry a lot to the refs, he is a fucking diver and cheat on the paddock. Individually, only Hodgo was a standout for the whole game, everyone else dropped off big time even before halftime. Gillett was great on the right hand side mostly, although he got lazy a couple of times, and as mentioned I liked to see Prince's progression. The spine was pretty good while Macca was on the field, with the halves kicking game getting us great field position and forcing the Tigers drop-outs. Norman's kicking however, was quite disappointing and Prince's goal kicking pretty crappy (doing his best to cripple my SVRL team). The forward pack still laid the platform from which we did most of the good stuff, with Thaiday and Parker on a pretty consistent high level. Hunt was very disappointing. He normally brings some spark to our attack, but he was definitely the weakest link in the Broncos team last night. Maranta was poor, and brings too little in attack. If it's lack of confidence, I hope he gets that soon, otherwise Griffin might want to justify his nickname with Lachlan, and bring in Kahu, Kemp or Berryman. Bring on the bunnies!
