Sometimes I have to question your thought process on some things. So let me get this straight, you think it's ok for a player to touch the ref? What if a player aggressiveness grabs him, and shakes him by pulling on his jersey? Of course that's bad right? But you're happy for a useless judiciary to make the call as to what is aggressive behaviour and what is not? That is absolutely ridiculous. There is no reason why a player should have to touch the ref. Ever. How is this "making an idiot of itself". The only person making an idiot of themselves in you. If this was some grey area that was shrouded is mystery, where the judiciary kept making the decisions and getting them wrong, then fine, whinge away. The fact of the matter is, this is one very simple rule, it is black and white, and that makes it easy to make the right decision all the time. The fact that you want to change that rule, and make it ok for players to touch the ref defies belief. You're only going off about it because a Bronco has been done for it, you've never had an issue with the rule up until now, and you're not exactly the type of person who remains quite when he hasn't liked a rule over the years. Yet this rule has stood since before I was born. Cut all the bullshit out of the argument, what do you want? A ref touching grading system? Grade 1 Ref Touch - Grabbed clothing to display point. Not aggressive (We think). Grade 2 Ref Touch - Grabbed limb to display point. Not aggressive (We think). Grade 3 Ref Touch - Pushed Ref to display point. Not agressive (We thinkg). Grade 4 Ref Touch - Held onto ref in bear hug. Pretty happy (We think). Grade 5 Ref Touch - Pushed ref while very made. But was smiling, so may not have been super made. Grade 6 Ref Touch - Shoulder charged ref. Wasn't a shoulder charge, don't listen to the ref boss. Grade 7 Ref Touch - Probably need to change this rule to just never allow the players to touch the ref, it's simply the best way. There is a simple way to rule on the game, like this rule, and there is the hard way, which is adding grey areas. This isn't like the obstruction rule where there should be a degree of common sense. The rule is blatantly clear, there is no room for interpretation, and there is no reason to change it. Don't touch the fucking ref. Ever. Never ever.
