Re: Scott Prince I believe we've seen the best of Wallace. Solid player, good at the clutch and fights for the ball really well (look at his work when a ball goes into the air, it's Lockyer like how he puts himself in position to claim it) but his long distance kicking game is inconsistent, short distance kicking game is mixed: really ordinary grubbers, good cross-field kicks, running game is terrible, organisation ordinary, vision ordinary & passing game ordinary. He's not terrible although he should have been dropped through out the season. I don't think any of his contemporaries are that great either, at least as halfbacks are concerned. Carney - Off-field screw up who can be exposed in the tight games. Mullen - Isn't a halfback and Bennett is finally getting him to where he needs to be. Like Carney, gets exposed in the tight games. Walsh - Talented, but just doesn't have the vision to make anything of it. The king of 1 step forward, 3 steps back. McCrone - Plain average. Maloney - Is really just a running half. Campese - Injured all the time. Is nearly as limited close to the line as Wallace cept he had a decent running game. Sutton - Sort of like Campese, except minus one of the best long boots in the game and has a history of attitude issues. Soward - Poor vision and organisational skills. Has talent to be the best in the game but can get flustered too easily. I'd go after the next generation and actually stick with them. Gimme a Sam Williams, Shaun Johnson, Aidan Sezer, Michael Morgan etc. over a Wallace at this stage. Or you know, give Hunt a proper crack.
