Not that I will go into this in any depth ... but I still can't understand the old scenario to do with ... 10k people at $30 vs 30k people at $10 ... thats to keep the math simple cause you can factor in the costs for sure (ie extra security, extra public transport) that type of thing Surely its better in a whole range of areas to have the stadium packed, even if the patrons are paying less And on the food issue, I don't understand why they contract out the fast food stands like they do ... which results in really bad overpriced food. Let your Red Roosters and Eagle Boys have their stands as they do but let them compete with the following ... imagine if your small hot dog trolley guy was able to buy his space for the day, and a myriad of other small transportable food types. Also, fete style, imagine if they had long lines of stalls where schools and community groups could rent a stall for the day. You'd have Mums and little old ladies cooking up much better food at more reasonable prices. And the PR for supporting these worthwhile causes would be enormous. Scrap the "Queensland Catering" type mob, and they might be surprised at the quality that might arrive. Don't know about you, but I love going to Bunnings on a Sunday just to grab a couple of burgers out the front. This type of setup is the tip of the iceberg. Just have a couple of Health officers on duty to make sure its all good. I'm jumping all around the place, and feel like could write heaps on these kinds of ideas ... but I'm sure you get my drift. Oink !
