Thrown into the mix his good work in defence and especially in cover defence, and all in all it’s a great return to the Origin arena for him. Well done to the selectors for making the right decision and giving him the shot he’d earned and good on DCE himself for grabbing that opportunity with both hands and braining it. Hopefully for Queensland’s sake he doesn’t plan on letting go of that jersey again any time soon. Perhaps a bit more practice goal kicking over the offseason and he’ll be almost a lock for the next series. Now he just needs to take the leap and win us a series next year and all will be forgiven. I rate Ash Taylor as a great prospect for the future, but a good 3-4 years out of DCE will mean Queensland aren’t under pressure to pick him before he’s really earned it and he’ll be free to keep working on his game and putting himself in a position where he has to be picked down the track [/QUOTE]
