It's also because soccer NEEDS that excitement because not much actually happens for so long in a game. It's full of "almost moments" but league is so second to second action. . You can't really blink or you'll miss something. To me, league just has a beautiful structure and rhythm to it. . 5 tackles then a kick. 5 tackles then a kick. Repetition. But at that moment after the 5 tackles, this action moment we get over and over, there's always "something" which happens. You anticipate and almost count down to that unpredictable moment where everything could change in a second. League. It's constant repetition builds a certain rhythm. Why the constant flowing games or "arm wrestles" are the most entertaining. They instill tension and anticipation. It's theatre! This is why i love league and can't find myself ever engaged with union... while i can appreciate the similarities and recognize the skill sets overlap, there's just too much chaos! It's scrappy! League is actually pretty neat... The motions are all there and we become conditioned or familiar with the rhythm, therefore we can almost anticipate easier where and when the action will come. Soccer is the complete opposite............. The ball's bounce and flow is quite predictable (unlike the shape of a footy) and there's hardly ever that moment of broken play or a line break. . Not much happens in soccer til it does - in that one second moment - the one second moment that could decide the whole game! That full 90mins all for what? the end result to be 1-0?! This reflecting: One moment vs evidently none? Crazy. (Believe me i love soccer, but this is the difference in style the two games have - in one, you're spoilt for action, the other is a long and drawn out long con) This is why Soccer needs a loud and rowdy atmosphere in the dips and dulls while with League, you'll get the exuberant roar at those moments ie when points are scored or big hits are made. But Ok, I'm all for an improved crowd presence. it'd be amazing - go for it! But it's not exactly necessary and why we've seen so many failed attempts at it. So for now, I'll let hunt and milf entertain me - and damn do they do so. We're the broncos
