However if the NRL is serious about not cannibalising the Broncos and the Gold Coast and are worried about fan bases and support, the obvious answer is to give the Redcliffe Dolphins the 17th licence. It is a no brainer. They are self sustained lined with cash, have their own loyal fan base already and have a geographical area of their own where they don’t need to try and compete and steal half of the Broncos fan base. They already have an identity and their is no need to try and cannibalise the Broncos. Whereas it’s going to be a lot harder to get the rusted on support for second brisbane team in the immediate future As most of us can contest, if the outside influences tried to cripple the Broncos just to get us to jump ship, you’ll find a lot of us (me included) would not even give any support for the second brisbane team at all out of spite.
