We had a case like this about a year ago where someone lost their licence for being excessive over the limit and he made all the promises about public transport etc. but we decided to let him go because its an indication of the kind of person you are that you would get behind the wheel with such little regard for human life. As for them being role models, it is naive to claim that they are not. They may not want to be but these days they are. It's part of the territory and its part of the pay cheque. They don't choose to be role models,through being in a position of admiration and in the public eye they become role models, and there isnt a sportsmen alive today that doesnt understand that.
