The fullback directs the players who have made the tackle which side of the field to break off to and defend on to match the numbers and prevent overlaps. They have a better view of the offence's attacking structure and communicate to shift players to cover the threat. Call out key players and set plays the opposition is working towards. You don't need a parabolic mic for elite fullbacks, because they make themselves heard without it.
