I'd like to see the game use a proper advantage rule, similar to Union but not quite as extensive in terms of phases/plays. If a team is inside the 10 or a high tackle is made, what is wrong with calling an advantage for say 2 plays, allowing the attacking team to have a free shot so to speak. Half the time when penalties are blown inside the red zone it's more to the detriment of the attacking team. Saturday afternoon games, televised live on Nine, ditto Sunday games. Saturday afternoon games would be a real winner IMO. Get rid of the 5:30 game, I don't really know many people who likes it. I wouldn't even mind a Sunday double header at 2pm and 4pm (both live, or I guess the 2nd on delay, i.e. 3pm kick off). Time out blown for all stoppages, just like in AFL. Scrums, line drop-outs, kick-offs, goal attempts - blow time out for all of them. It'll prevent any inconsistencies in terms of when time out is and isn't blown and it gives fans more footy for their buck. Also, for Nine games, you can delay blowing time back on after a scrum/kick-off/drop out etc. so that they have sufficient time for a single ad break. It might be slightly annoying but it'd provide a lot more opportunity for the networks to make money off games, thus increasing the value of TV rights. Get rid of corner posts. Voss is 100% right in his reasons for this. Get rid of the mid-season international game. New Zealand are pathetic in this fixture all the time. It's presence really only undermines the credibility of Internationals IMO, and at a time when supposedly we are trying to do the opposite. Turn the Video Ref into a challenge system. Take away the Video Ref option from the Referee, force him into making decisions right away. If a team feels he is wrong, then they can go to the referal video. By setting a limit on referrals, it might stop captains complaining so much. Referees will just give them the option of a referral, in which case they go away because they have no real case. That's all for now
