Nathan Merritt - solid performing club player who was involved with a lot of very poor South Sydney teams. Probably a bit unlucky that Souths success started to come at the end of his career where he started to not be able to match the players around him. It's unfair in a way he will be remembered mostly for his poor Origin. Matt Moylan - i kept waiting for him to hit a rough patch in 2014 but it never really happened which showed what i think is very special about hi, his high consistency. Has the potential to be a very very good player over the next 5-7 years, and i will be very curious to see how long Penrith resist the temptation to try him out in the no.6. A very likeable bloke as well, comes across very humble and not at all like a dickhead. Michael Gordon - was a gun for Penrith in his first stint at fullback putting out Jarrod Hayne like stats for a while but as others have mentioned injuries have done him no favours. He also did not look out of place in the Origin arena but he will not get another chance. I think he hit his straps a bit too late in his career with not enough time to get over the injuries and come back the same player. Very smart move by Cleary/Gould to move him on as imo he has been a bit of a dud for the Sharks. Glenn Lazarus - one of Brisbanes best recruits ever. Easily the top prop in the game in the early to mid 1990's. Performed at all rep levels of the game. Was devestated when we let him go to the Storm but even though he helped the Storm win their first premiership, we well and truly got the best years out of him. Brett Finch - a favorite player for fans to have a crack at, not quite Mitchell Pearce level but pretty close. Always looked like he was having a sook on the field that didnt help. In the end he was probably just an above average half, could have some very good games but lacked consistency of the better players in his position. Didn't do one thing especially well, just a solid all rounder.
