Re: TOP 3 games where a champion has led their team to Victo Actually not to be a Debbie Downer but watching the 2006 Prelim final Lockyer's first half was really ordinary - a lot of rushed passes that resulted in errors and rarely places pressure on the opposition. I'd say he definitely took the game away from the Bulldogs mid-way in the second half but my MVP was definitely Hodges who along with Civo was the Broncos best in that difficult 60 minute period. Mine... Darren Lockyer - Queensalnd Maroons - Game 1 2001 - If ever you wanted to see a highlight package of Lockyer as a fullback, I recommend you check this game out. From the second set on, Lockyer is an absolute maestro and while I wouldn't award him a perfect 10/10 it's definitely an 8 or a 9 in my book. Jarryd Hayne - Parramatta Eels - vs. Canterbury Bankstown Round 20 2010 - Hayne has had a number of great performances including a few against the Broncos but this performance stands at the most recent and was a true exhibition of athleticism, talent and even defence. A brilliant performance by one of the games most talented. Todd Carney - Sydney Roosters - vs. Brisbane Broncos Round 20 2010 - Without the aid of Pearce and Myles it looked like the Roosters had their back up against the wall but in one of the performances of the season Carney rose to the occasion bambloozing the defence with his agility and his long passing game finding the Broncos short on plenty of occasions. Plenty more, but these come to mind straight off the bat.
