Think back to 2004 as well. St George-Illawarra finished 5th that year. Lost to Penrith by 1 point in the first week. Because the Broncos (3rd) and Canterbury (2nd) got beaten in the first week, they got eliminated. Finishing 5th doesn't guarantee you passage to week 2! [/QUOTE]
