The club has done some dumb things in negotiations in recent times but I struggle to fathom why they would have offered that much considering all the circumstances. He also turned down more money to stay for less because of what the club done for him. I also struggle to believe teams were throwing $800,000+ at him for a 50-55 minute prop forward who isn’t even a rep player yet and isn’t exactly a game breaking player.
