12 all at HT, Cows with a soft try right before the break. There were a lot of penalties in that first half so neither team really had to get into the grind in order to get a shot at the opposition line. In a lot of ways, both teams scored very similar tries. The opening try to Michael Morgan was another example of his wonderful combination with JT. Shades of Bowen/JT from years back with JT kicking in right behind the line and Morgan timing his chase to perfection. It looked like the Cows would extend their lead after a nice spread down their right hand side, but Matt McIlwrick came up with a great try-saver on O'Neil to force the ball loose. That allowed the Tigers to get into it and after multiple repeat sets it eentually took it's toll on the Cowboys. A simple kick to the corner set it up for Nofoaluma to take on Linnett, he was able to bat the ball back and it eventually found it's way into a Tigers hand for them to score. Both tries off of skill plays. Then the second were just pure fatigue from the defence. Aloai took the line on, found himself up against Lachlan Coote who he was able to shrug off and score. Then in the dying seconds, Hampton takes on Seumanufagai and Sue, beats them easily and scores a very soft response. Given the list of outs, I'm surprised the Cows aren't leading by more. If this was an NRL game, Green wouldn't be happy with their completion rate and their ruck defence. However, they're still looking as composed as ever and as long as they have JT, they just never seemed to be lost. Wests are clearly missing Ballin, Moses and Brooks and look a little out of ideas. If it isn't coming off of Woods' second phase play, there isn't a lot happening.
