I think last year he came into the team in round 11 after the absolute capitulation against tigers. In that game Croft had well and truly shit the bed and his confidence was absolutely shot. I think Milf was thrown into fullback against the storm with an obvious hammy issue and soon after he was out for the year. So basically Dearden came in at a severe low point for the team as a whole and for the most part he was partnered with Croft who was absolutely copping it from the media and looked pretty well done for the year. I think he got dropped for SOS at one point only for SOS to then get injured and him having to come straight back in. At least this year the squad is relatively healthy (although the backline looks horrendous) and Croft has looked a little more involved compared to the shell that he became during the tigers game. I think we are also playing a bit better this year compared to last and I'm putting very little value on the form line of the last 2 weeks given the covid bubble and being isolated in a hotel room for 2 weeks. We have been mostly competitive before that so hopefully we can put in a decent show at home to lift the spirits a little... it would've been nice to have a let up in the draw at this point to rebuild some confidence, but NSWRL gonna use every opportunity they can to keep us down so that's never going to happen [/QUOTE]
