The way you look at it is we have 5 options to partner Reynolds in the halves this year, technically they all have a shot, none stand out and none are completely shit. We got depth but no stardom (except mam but he is young). Albert Kelly: Experienced, has a bit more of a flair and running game punch in his game which might help, also seems to have gotten along well with Reynolds based off some of the photos from that corporate touch day Tyson Gable: Probably the front runner. Brings tonnes of energy. Has a little bit of everything. Holds his own in defence and is willing to work his ass off. Ezra Mam: Great young half. Potent running game, has had the odd flashy pass but haven't seen enough to comment on his playmaking ability. Looks really fit so hopefully he's got a good work ethic. But the big issue is his likely inability to defend at first grade level. Billy Walters: Billy is a great bloke I love him both on and off the field but I hate to say it but he is here because of his Daddy. Would love for him to prove me wrong, he was playing well enough before his ACL to warrant a squad spot at every club (could warrant a 17 at quite a few of them as well) so you never know what could happen when he gets in the groove of things. Tyrone Roberts: Tyrone is looking very fit, he looks like he wants it, I guess why wouldn't he but it shows he is willing to put in the hard yards. When Tyrone is on he is a very good player and leading his team to a q-cup premiership last year helps his case for a top 30 spot. He can do a bit of everything so if he gets that top 30 spot chances are he is going to be playing rd.1 otherwise they will leave him as a T&T in case of emergencies. Te Maire Martin: I personally don't give him any chances of playing this year that's why I said only 5 players before. I really like Te Maire Martin but I'm wondering if this is really worth the risk. Don't see him playing first grade this year but good luck to him.
