Cronulla aren't the only ones in trouble. Manly is another one. They can talk up CC all they like but best choice would be in either Perth or Adelaide, and yes I am aware of the battle ahead if they make those choices. But with a sustainable business plan in place with a time frame of 10 years then it can be very successful. Rockhampton or Mackay are silly choices. Mackay wholeheartedly support the cowboys and a lot of them travel the 3.5 hours to see the cows, not only that the population up here goes up and down due to mining demand. Rocky might work but a little bit of a backward town (trying to be conservative here). More teams in NSW screams trouble, especially with the revised pokie laws. I love how Souths claim they will now survive forever due to Rusty and Holmes Le Court. Last I heard John is about to pull out as he won't continue to sustain a dying club, and Rusty eventually will do the same. No point investing hundreds of thousands of dollars to see little return. It looks like we are back to the point of just before superleague was introduced, where many clubs were in dire trouble and were bailed out due to superleague injections. Cronulla was a big example of this, the funds have gone and no fans to keep it going. Like it or not the NRL is a business now and if a club cannot sustain itself on it's own two feet without any forseeable advantage then it should not be there. Or make moves elsewhere in order to survive.
