Cooper has a calf strain which he picked up against Cronulla. Thats why he isnt there...he may even have been playing for Australia if he didnt. Would have been there over Idris I suspect in the country team

On topic, that Country side looks awesome. I'm unique in that I'm the only guy in the world that gets excited about this game, and as such I'll be wearing my Country jersey to the Test match on Friday.
I'm not a fan of Greg Bird at 6 in any team, but with Todd Carney on the bench, I can see it working well. Forwards run at the halves all night, as they tend to do, trying to tire them out, and then when they've tired THEMSELVES out late in each half, Todd comes on at pivot and just runs around them.

But despite his selection at five-eighth, Bird remains an unlikely candidate for a start as NSW pivot according to Country coach and Blues selector Laurie Daley.

"Possibly but I wouldn't have thought so," Daley said when asked if Bird was being viewed as a potential Blues five-eighth.

"I would think that Carney would play a lot more time at five-eighth than Greg Bird.

Either way, i would LOVE them to pick soward. The first half of this season he was missing, and there is no way he will handle origin. He will absolutely smashed in the first set, and will be hiding behind gallen for the rest of the match
