Yes. you are very much the troll. I look forward to your third coming in due course. Did you miss my response when I replied to your comment about the paywall and provided you with other links to confirm what I was saying was correct? I assume that you simply could not respond to that so you disappeared instead of simply admitting you were in fact wrong. Just further proving your ignorance. No win no fee arrangements are something completely different to what you proposed initially. You really should not venture opinion about things you know nothing about. What you suggested originally is that his lawyers would take a percentage of whatever award of damages WB received. That is called a contingency arrangement. They are not permitted in Australia. But from your extensive legal experience you obviously know differently. In a normal retainer, prior to work being done the lawyer is required to provide a fee agreement to the client which the client signs. These are heavily regulated and the lawyer has to stick to that proposed estimate or provide a revised agreement if necessary. In that agreement they specify what the likely range of fees that the client may have to expect to pay. A no win no fee agreement is simply a variation on these where stipulates that the lawyer is only entitled to charge for their costs (outlays still usually have to be paid by the client) if the litigation is successful. The costs that they are entitled to charge are the same as for any other client and not a percentage of any damages they are awarded. Therefore, they are not a contingency agreement.
