We do have players with a hard edge that would normally help us claw back a game. McGuire for one, unfortunately he's fallen victim to going too far. I will never claim to be certain, but it would appear to me that Bird was not simply a luxury buy, Bennett bought him in to be the new Hodges, not so much in skill set, but in terms of taking a game by the scruff and simply willing a big play or change in momentum. The other ones have been addressed. For Nikorima to improve, he needs both time and confidence, putting him under public pressure would almost guarantee he fails.
